Norbert R. Haddox & Sarah R. Haddox his wife, sell to W. A. Haddox, E. C. Haddox, Edwina C. Davis (wife of W.G. Davis), Kate L. Sothoron (wife of Geo. M. Sothoron) & Horace B. Haddox, their remaining interest in the estate of Clinton B. Haddox, for the sum of $1,334.60. (Deed Book V:515, 1902.06.03, Recorded 1902.07.28)

Davis v. Haddox. Suit to settle the estate of Clinton B. Haddox & his heirs. Brought by W. Golder Davis (widower of Edwina C. Davis, dau. of Clinton B. Haddox) & his children A. Warren Davis, Miss W. Golder Davis, and Clarence E. Davis (all live in Fauquier Co. except A. Warren who lives in Washington, DC). Clinton B. Haddox died 1874 intestate, had 500 acres in Flint Hill & considerable personal estate; his widow died in 1908; their children are Norbert, W.A., E.C. (died Dec 1916 unmarried), Kate (married ___ Sothoron), Dr. Horace B., Edwina C. (died 1909). Debts to Shenandoah Valley Loan & Trust Co. Land to be sold at auction on 28 May 1917. Clinton B. Haddox died in 1874, seized & possessed of real estate, leaving a widow and six children. There has been no division of the estate. W.A. Haddox agrees to purchase from W.G. Davis (widower), A. Warren Davis, W. Clinton Davis, Miss W. Golder Davis & Clarence R. Davis (the husband & children, the heirs at law of the late Edwina C. Davis), their share of the 493.5 acre farm, which was conveyed by Alpheas Gibson, executor, to C.B. Haddox on 10/24/1854 (I:140, K:466, L:122). (Deed Book 28:397, 1917.09.11, Recorded 1917.10.01)
